Description: Home makeovers are one of my passions, and since we moved into our house in January, I've been DYING to fix up the fireplace in our bedroom. It was originally a room painted brown, with a dark blue and white tiled fireplace. The day we moved in, I decided to start demolition, and Tommy tore out all the tiles. For the past year, we weren't able to envision what we would replace it with, until I happened upon this gorgeous mantel piece at an antique shop! Total score!!! Tommy and I then spent the weekend painting, assembling, and mounting all the pieces to create the perfect fireplace mantel on a tight budget! Similar mantels I found online sell for anywhere between $500-5,000, but we were able to put this project together for about $200! I'm so proud of this one and hope you guys love it too!
