Description: Patreon: patreon.com/fretjam Lesson page: fretjam.com/borrowed-chords.html --TIME STAMPS-- 0:00 Intro & Borrowed 4 Chord 3:15 Borrowed 6 Chord 4:57 Borrowed 3 Chord 6:51 Borrowed 2 Chord 8:18 Borrowed 7 Chord 10:11 Summary This lesson covers a concept that many would consider advanced. But I've tried to explain it as simply as possible. Borrowed chords occur in music all the time, whether intentionally or not. In this lesson we discover where these chords are "borrowed" from, and what makes them work. By understanding where these common "outside" chords come from, you'll know when to change scale for your solo. But you'll also have some new ideas for writing your own chord progressions that are a little less predictable than those confined to the natural key.
