How would you train to be Marvel's super-spy? There is a consistency in the way that Black Widow is portrayed throughout different media. She is agile, mobile, tenacious, and quick. These skills allow her to take on much larger opponents. In the comics and movies, Black Widow was trained in the "Red Room" where she was made to do intense ballet training, among other things. There are actually a number of very cool concepts we can learn and apply from ballet that will improve power, movement, and control. Dance in general teaches us to control our body, to maintain pose and alignment, and to move with precision and power. Please keep in mind that this is a bit of fun and an area I am currently researching. I'm certainly not a ballet expert so don't look to me for technique!
