Description: Bhavanisagar dam is releasing the excess water due to heavy rain in the catchment area. Bhavanisagar Dam or Lower Bhavani dam is located in Erode district, Tamil Nadu, India. It is constructed on the Bhavani river. It is one of the world's largest earthen dams. Now due to heavy rain from Western Ghats excess water is getting released and joins Kaveri river Kuduthurai at Bhavani.
