Description: A Belgian Artillery Battalion takes part in Trident Juncture with one 105 mm-Howitser. During thefirst four days of the exercise Trident Juncture, they took part in a live fire exercise, where they fire 50 shells a day. With a well-trained crew, a 105 mm-Howitzer can launch around ten shells per minute, shooting them a distance of up to 15 kilometers. The target is watched by forward observers, in this case German and Danish Forward Observer Officers. They direct the fire from a vantage point relatively close to the impact zone.
