Description: #crime #hijack #theft Carjacked truck successfully recovered A high value load gets truck jacked just outside the warehouse. The truck is recovered with the load and a suspect. The jackers used a signal blocker but the tracking tech was superior to the blocker. When you press your home security panic button because an armed burglar wants to invade your house to rob and even murder you, do you think that it is a serious situation? When your car get jacked and your child or spouse or friend is taken with as a hostage, do you think that is a serious situation? Can we even call it an emergency situation? Well if you think it is serious enough that someone may loose their life then it probably is an emergency. Will you call the police in this situation and pray that they respond to you as fast as possible or will you invite the home invader in or not bother with the car jacker? In South Africa, the police do not have vehicles to do their jobs because the government officials steal the money to buy themselves cars. A great number even the majority of the current police officers are not able to do their jobs because they are either not properly trained or do not have the recourses. When the police are in a pickle they can not depend on their own members to help them because of what I explained, so who go to their rescue. It is the highly trained specialized teams of the private security industry. At this moment in South Africa it is predominantly the private security industry that stop crime and are the barrier between law and disorder. Most of the specialists it this industry are former white cops who left the police because of the racial policies of non promotion toward them. Only the true die hard cops that had no opportunity to go into the private sector remain , but they are only a drop in the bucket. Even they have a hard time. So with regards to emergencies and emergency vehicles etc, yes private security vehicles are not emergency vehicles but please do not sat that these people do not act on your behave during emergencies. Vehicle are fitted with bright lights clearly identified yet their are those entitled ones who will not do the courteous thing and move over. It is actually just good road manners. Here they dont even move for the police or ambulances. I just hope that those keyboard warriors that have never been affected by serious or violent crime may someday be in a situation where they may need a responder to get to them soon and understand why we do what we do.
