Description: President of the Senate Ahmad Lawan, says the 2009 agreement signed with the leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) is unrealistic and not implementable. This came as the Senate President appealed to the striking members of Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, to call off the industrial action for the sake of students. Lawan made the call during a meeting between the leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and some Principal Officers of the Senate on Tuesday at National Assembly Complex, Abuja.
