Description: Before we go to Valhalla, there was one more story that needed to be told. Fate of Atlantis covers an important part of Layla's journey in this series, taking her to Elysium, the Underworld, and Atlantis through Kassandra to learn how to wield the Staff of Hermes Trismegistus. If you're unfamiliar with my work, I take the stories of video games and edit them into a movie format. I work hard to focus on telling the story as cinematically as possible, rather than just doing a straight walkthrough of the game. My goal is to create something that anybody can enjoy, whether they play video games at all or not. Even for those who have played it, watching it in this way can create an experience different from what you get playing the game, as the story is more compact, and so more of it remains fresh in your mind by the end, and it can be completed in a shorter time, too, which is useful if you want to relive the story but don't have the time to play the whole game. When possible, I disable as much on screen distractions as possible, I cut gameplay down to what's important for the story, and I sometimes even cut entire scenes out, if I feel they don't serve an important role in the overall story. This particular story was a DLC expansion for Assassin's Creed Odyssey, and included many missions that while fun, were not crucially important to the story, and so this movie has some of the most extensive cuts to "main mission" content as I've ever done before, in order to keep the story focused. Often in service of making the movie more presentable, I'll even use visual effects to remove any remaining on screen elements to make the experience more movie-like. Thankfully with this game, there wasn't much of that left over after I disabled HUD options in the game, besides the saving indicator, and occasional dialogue boxes that remained after my edits. As always, if you enjoy the story, I recommend buying the game if you can to support the developers. If you like what I do, consider subscribing, liking and commenting on the video to show your support.
