Description: Are fig trees deer resistant? Are they deer proof? Do you need to protect your fig tree from deer? We're slowly finding out just how deer resistant these fruit trees are. I planted my fig orchard last spring. The deer have been roaming through the orchard all summer long. I just finally noticed one leaf and the top of one stem bitten off. So far, I'd say fig trees are deer resistant. I'll keep you updated on how this goes but it's looking promising so far. As for the actual figs, I'm not sure they'll be so luck, but the trees remain intact.
