Not sure why, but I was suddenly compelled to paint this, and had to paint it as large as I could. I ran out to buy the largest canvas I could, but couldn't find stretchers as big so I just stapled it to the wall. I used oil paint sticks and a lot of walnut oil, as I am not a fan of turpentine.
