Description: Positano is a beautiful Italian city, located in an enclave in the hills leading down to the coast. Mapping the city in 3D was the main technical challenge chosen by Parrot for ANAFI Ai’s launch. To achieve this pharaonic project, Parrot benefited from the skills of Erwan Renaudin from Logiroad, expert in creation of city digital twins. ANAFI Ai mapped 100 acres of urban canyon. It captured 4,800x48 MP photos. All flights were done thanks to its 4G connection to avoid city interferences. Erwan had to use three different software to generate the final 3D model: Pix4Dmapper, Metashape and Reality Capture. The final 3D mesh is composed of 800 million triangles.
