Description: Paint schemes, or liveries, are an important part of brand identity for any railroad. With the debut of the new ALC-42 Charger locomotives to replace the GE Genesis fleet, Amtrak felt it was also time to roll out a brand new look. Phase VII, the 7th major national paint scheme in the company’s history, is being applied to all new ALC-42 locomotives from Amtrak number 309 onward. Eventually, it is expected to become the new standard livery of Amtrak, applied to other fleets of engines and cars as they come due for new paint. In this video, we return to the Siemens Mobility rail equipment factory to take a look at the brand new Amtrak number 309 as it makes its debut in Phase VII. Matt Donnelly of Amtrak also joins us to talk about the new scheme, how it was designed, and why it is important for the brand image of Amtrak. ------------------------------ This video was made possible by my supporters on Patreon Adam Byrne Alohi M Bethany Chernay Brian Zimmerman Clarence Jackson Delay In Block Productions Jim Walker Jovanni Cruz Lyle C Melanie S Peter Della Flora Thomas Jackson Xander and Lucinda Amtrak and AWVR Fan ShadowSteel18 And many more! ------------------------------ CoasterFan2105 is the home of all sorts of train and railroad related video content.
