Description: In 2011, to celebrate its 40th anniversary, Amtrak painted four P42DC locomotives in each of the four main past paint schemes the railroad had used over the years. One of these locomotives, number 184, was given a version of the Phase 4 livery known as Northeast Direct. This locomotive is a fan favorite, as it is the only P42 in the Amtrak heritage fleet to wear an exact recreation of a scheme that was previously applied to the P42 locomotives.
