Description: Today, we take a first look at Company of Heroes 3. It's a new upcoming WW2 strategy game, where the action takes place during the Allied invasion of Italy. Keep in mind this is Pre-Alpha Demo and does not represent the final game. As an old CoH fan, gameplay immediately felt fun, and one of the new features I didn't cover is a large-scale strategic turn-based map, where you can capture towns, airfields, and move troops across Italy. It might look similar to MoW Assault Squad, but these two are actually very different from a core design perspective. When the RobZ mod and overall MoW/GoH is all about micro and knowledge of units ranges, penetration values, angles, and their strengths then CoH is more like knowledge of how and when to use certain units, largely their abilities at the right time, and as a base building game, you need to gather resources to expand your forces and arsenal.
