Description: TIPSY is the debut single from a new female-fronted, 8-piece funk and soul band ALBERT TALES. The video brings together a psychedelic animation sequence with a classic short narrative and a tight funky groove. Think Amy Winehouse on acid! The track itself kicks around a loose introductory brass riff before dropping into a verse that shows off the true oasis at the heart of the bands sound - the lush, shimmering vocals of Keren Siri. Lyrically the song represents ‘Denial’ (as in the five stages of grief - the remaining 4 of which each make an appearance on their upcoming debut EP) and warping this heavy subject matter about escapism and social anxiety into deceptively light-hearted soul/pop is what these guys are all about.
