Description: Welcome back to another episode of “Customs & Restoration with Vick!” This week Vick is creating a Ferrari inspired custom for our friends over at Luxury Auto Collection (LAC)! For this custom, Vick will be using a Jordan 4 11Lab4 ‘Black Patent Leather’. He starts by removing the tongue tags and prepping the shoe. After a bit of taping, Vick uses some cotton balls and acetone to remove the finish from the midsoles and back of the tongue. The next step was to customize the back of the prepped tongues. After some more tape, Vick laid down a white coat of paint, followed by Ferrari red! Guess what, time for another tape job! Vick covers the entire uppers with tape and paper towels in order to lay down some black paint on the midsole! After two coats, some Ferarri red striping was added. What makes a Vick custom so great has always been his special attention to the small details. Spending additional time to lay down an Italian flag, striped stencils, and hand coloring the netting with a silver Sharpie is what makes this sneaker so amazing. Not to mention - the Luxury Auto Collection laser engraving!! Once those details were complete, it was time to ad the new tongue tags! Ordered from the amazing D Nice (@dnicecustoms on Instagram), the first tongue tag features the famous Ferrari horse with the LAC logo at the bottom. The second tag displays the Jumpman logo with “LAC” in the Jordan flight font. Vick laced up the shoe, adding some custom LAC lace locks (again from D-Nic), and it was time to drop them off to most amazing dealership in all of Scottsdale, Arizona.
