Description: #Abstract #22 #Delaney One of the hardest things I've gone through, one of the easiest songs I've ever written and one of the hardest songs to put out. I didn't know if this song would see the light of day. It was mostly therapeutic for me but's transparency made me too uncomfortable to share it with the world. Friends urged me to put it out and it definitely found a home on this album as the rest of the albums evolution would not be the same if I had not shown you my rock bottom. I, Abstract, and my team present the newest chapter in the Super Human Saga. Kintsugi is the ancient Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with Gold, a metaphor for the entire album. The things that break us only end up making us into more beautiful evolutions of ourselves and when we put those pieces of ourselves back together, we only become stronger. It's important for me to give you my happiness, my love, my pain, my hurt, my life in my music. Just like Kintsugi, I would rather highlight my struggles and the ways I've been broken and repaired instead of hiding those cracks as a testament to the fact that I do not fear them, I embrace them. The only way to work through your struggles is to be aware of them and confront them head-on, so I do not hide them and (though I too struggle with doing this sometimes) I refuse to run from them or let them control me. This is me. We all have our paths to walk. I hope I can encourage you to embrace yours. Things do not happen to us, they happen for us.
