Description: Did we use a clickbait thumbnail on our last video? Why didn't we show the hog from the picture on the tailgate? These are some of the questions we got in the comments to our last video. To watch the original video, click here: youtu.be/VRZj9EJg40c The answer is: We did show the hog from the thumbnail in the video. We included quite a bit of footage of the massive hog from the tailgate picture, however we chose not to include footage of the dead hogs in that video because we didn't want to risk having the video demonetized or restricted. Since there are many viewers who would like to see more, including how we loaded them into the truck and the video of us weighing the hogs, we have included it in a separate video so it won't affect the original video if it gets demonetized or restricted. Subscribe to UNV ► bit.ly/Subscribe2UltimateNV *** Why Do We Hunt Hogs? *** Feral hogs are a non-native and invasive species in Texas. Each year hogs cause millions of dollars in damage in the form of damaged crops, contaminated water supplies, broken equipment, transmission of diseases and injury to livestock. Feral hogs compete with native wildlife for resources and also prey directly on the eggs and young of ground nesting birds and will actively hunt small mammals, frogs, lizards and snakes. Due to their intelligence, adaptability, and prolific breeding habits, traditional methods of hunting and trapping have been largely ineffective in reducing the feral hog population. The introduction of night vision and thermal optics has greatly increased landowners' ability to mitigate the destruction caused by feral hogs. Feral swine are not considered game animals in Texas and may be hunted by any means or methods at any time of year.
