Description: My best friend’s uncle has been restoring a Datsun Sports for decades with tremendous time and financial investment. The only trouble is, the air vents for the restored dash are as rare as hen’s teeth (we could only borrow one from a pair). Can 3D scanning and 3D printing recreate this part and allow the restoration to be completed? I’ve been working on this video for months, but the project it relates to is 40 years old. A huge thanks to Myles for being so generous with his time. He dropped his normal work to accommodate us and complete the scan, including cleaning up the geometry in post processing software.
