Or do you just enjoy browsing on social media and watching Netflix for hours before bed before going to sleep… If so, this video is for you! In this video I’m going to go through 3 reasons why using your phone late at night is ruining you sleep. So the mistake a lot of us make is going to sleep with our phones. With the busy lives we lead most of us work all through the day and when we do finally get home, instead of letting the laws of nature take its course, what do we do? We go online, reply texts, watch Netflix, go on social media and eat into time we could be using to get some good quality sleep. This may be something you haven’t given a lot of thought to, but many of us are actually addicted to our cell phone. I certainly am. Your phone or laptop is most likely the reason you are staying up late at night and the blue lights our devices emit is ruining the quality of our sleep when we finally get down to it. These reasons are based on the reports of Harvard researchers who looked into exactly what causes sleep deprivation in adults. So reason number 1 we are going to do a comparison between reading and using your phone before bed. Have you ever noticed how you feel more sleepy when you read a book or magazine than when you’re glued to your phone. You may say that books are boring which yes sometimes I can understand but regardless of whichever book you’re reading your much more likely to fall asleep in the midst of reading it than you would when going through your phone which I’m sure you’re well aware of. This is because the cell phone emits blue light which penetrates the eyes and reduces the sensation of sleep. Obviously, Books have no screens, hence they do not emit any form of radiation but leave you feeling rather tired in no time at all. So if you’re really serious about trying to get a better nights sleep try winding down from the screen at around 9:30 and when night falls try reading a book instead of using your phone. Thanks for taking the time to watch this video! I hope it has made a positive impact on your life. Have an amazing and productive day and I will see you in the next self-improvement video!
