Description: Still scouting for new areas to camp, I find a suitable location next to a marsh and spend 3 days camping alone. During the trip I cooked over my campfire, made a raised bed, fashioned a small bench, and carved a tobacco pipe. Recipe for the cornbread I made on the last day: 1/2 cup all purpose flour 1/2 cup corn meal 1 tbsp sugar 2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 cup water 2 tbsp oil Mix all dry ingredients together, then add water and oil. Mix until smooth. Pour into greased pan and bake until a wood sliver passes without batter sticking to it. Makes enough for 2 filling breakfasts.
