Description: We all know parents tell us from a very early age not to play with our food. But you’re older now and you don’t always have to restrict your life to what you were ordered to as a child. So take that newly found freedom and mess about with your food once in awhile--food can be incredibly versatile visually if you know how to use it, just like whoever made this probably delicious rendition of Han Solo’s best friend out of noodles, rice and leafy greens. Subscribe to Knowledge Feed for awesome mysteries, discoveries, fun topics and all around AWESOME videos ! 7. Dead Man Burgers Sure this burger verges on the violent side, but the cartoonish faces the food makes kinda makes up for it. Kinda. What’s better is that making these don’t call for overly complicated ingredients or methods. It’s all the stuff you would regularly put in a burger, just with a little more effort and energy. But really, how hard is it to make mustard and ketchup eyes? What’s even better, other than the fact this particular photo is that of a vegan burger, is that depending if you’re a fan of lots of ketchup on your burgers, you can make it as messy as you want. If you wanted to do the most, you could also carve teeth into the hamburger buns and up the ketchup slathering. The only out of the ordinary thing you would need is a gingerbread cookie cut out. 6. Dog Eat Dog This is the much more scaredy-cat friendly alternative to the man eating burger. Mayumi, who runs the blog “taste of japan” made these hot dog eating puppies by first shaping the buns and baking them herself, complete with cute black bean noses and eyes. 5. Panda Curry A plate of curry’s never looked more adorable. These rice balls wrapped in seaweed swimming towards a lake of food is too cute to eat--though it looks pretty good to eat, too. It seems that rice balls are really versatile foods and are always incorporated into cute food art ideas. 4. Sugarcube Skulls There’s nothing more ordinary than your everyday cup of joe. So if you want to spice things up in the morning and you’re inclined towards the more gothic and creepy, you can use these cool skull and bones shaped sugar pieces instead of regular cubes, packets or spoonfuls of the stuff. Artist Snow Violent came up with these bones shaped sugar cubes under their Sugar Skulls series. And honestly, edible art is the best kind of art. Or edible anything, really. 3. Finger Sandwiches Literally, these are finger sandwiches. Online, you’ll find the recipe for these snacks up the name of “Creepy, Dead Man’s Fingers Sandwiches. They seem strangely real, but they’re apparently really easy to make. All you need is bread (any kind of your choosing) butter, a spread like cream cheese or peanut butter, almonds for the fingernails and strawberry jam for the bloody mess. Actually, it sounds like it would taste quite fine, even if it looks creepy.
