Description: Polynesian influence and prestige in American football is at an all-time high, and rapidly expanding. Today, more than 60 NFL players share a Polynesian ancestry. The Polynesian Football Hall of Fame honors Polynesia’s greatest players and coaches, as well as other contributors to the sport. It is located on Oahu at the Polynesian Cultural Center in Lai‘e. The Hall of Fame was founded in 2013 by two Polynesian Super Bowl Champions, Jesse Sapolu and Ma‘a Tanuvasa. Their NFL experiences inspired them to honor Polynesia’s greatest players, coaches and contributors. The Hall of Fame’s beautiful gallery showcases the achievements of inductees and Polynesian football legends. It features plaques, photos, mementos, an interactive display, and the Wall of Honor.The enshrinement ceremony on January 22nd inducted 6 more football legend into the Hall of Fame.
