Description: This silent movie, produced in the US in the mid-1920s, explains how the steering, drivetrain and running gear work. A lot of the concepts still apply to a modern car, and this video is easy to understand because cars back then had nothing extra - just the essential ingredients to make them go forwards, turn and stop. We've stabilized and remastered this video, added a soundtrack and generally made it more watchable. The original video is in the public domain and we retrieved it from the internet archive.
