Description: With people like Chris Hemsworth, Taika Waititi, and the rest of the Marvel crew in a room, you know it’s going to be a fun time on set - one that results in a LOAD of improv. Thor: Ragnarok was majorly influenced by improv, changing the script they started with immensely, but the changes they made really did work and made Ragnarok one of the best Marvel films there is. Jeff Goldblum let his freak flag fly as the Grandmaster, rambling on as long as the camera and director would let him. Which hilarious scene was completely improvised by the actor? There were a few of them - and one very special one didn’t even make the cut. Loki’s signature knife flip is, well, legendary, but who knew it was born from an improv moment? The first time it was captured on film, it didn’t get included - but luckily it’s made its way onto the screen plenty of times now - including in the Disney plus show named after the God of Mischief! Korg is a great character, but it was a bit surprising that he was so present on screen in Thor: Ragnarok. The character wasn’t slated for so much screen time, but anytime Taika Wititi got to go from behind the camera to in front of it, he kept the camera and banter going. It was thanks to keeping the work going that we got a very special speech from the one and only Thor. Who knew a one-line scene could turn into a very extended, but hilarious moment?! Throughout the years, Chris Hemsworth and the Thor team have brought some of the most iconic lines and hilarious moments to life thanks to leaning into the improv so hard.
