Description: A traditional Punjabi recipe for relief from common cold, sneezing...A recipe that has been passed down in families for generations! A tried and tested recipe, suitable for all age groups. Diabetics may use this recipe without sugar or with a sugar-free sweetener. Suitable for pregnant and lactating mothers too, as long as there are no medicals complications. The best time to take sudka is at night, sometime before sleeping. It is recommended not to eat/drink anything after drinking sudka, and also to not expose yourself to cold weather. Best is to tuck-in your bed and sleep well as sudka does its magic! Ingredients: Ghee 1 tbsp Almonds 5 Besan 1 tbsp Black pepper powder 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder 1/6 tsp Dry ginger powder 1/4 tsp Milk 300 ml Sugar 2 tsp ( you may use mishri or jaggery. If using jaggery, mix it in after switching off heat so that the milk would not curdle) *You may soak 1 tsp poppy seeds (khas khas) in the milk for 10-15 minutes and then add that milk to the sauteed besan. *You may also add 1/6 tsp cardamom powder for more benefits.
