MATERIALS Yarn: Bernat "Softee Chunky" in Lavender (SUPER BULKY 6) Approx. 100 Yards used Hook: "N" 9mm (For best results, I recommend using the same size hook and yarn weight as I do) Scissors Card Board Squares (For Puffs) WRITTEN PATTERN: Chain 5, Join Round 1: Chain 3. * [DC, Chain 1] 8 times into round. 9 [DC, Chain 1] Total Round 2: Complete 2 [DC, Chain 1] in Chain 3 space from previous round. Mark the space in between the 2 DC's with a stitch marker. (This marks the beginning of Round 2). Work 2 [DC, Chain 1] into every space around until you reach the stitch that is marked with the stitch marker. Round 3: Complete 2 [DC, Chain 1] in the space marked at the beginning of Round 2. Mark the space in between the 2 DC's you just created with a stitch marker (This marks the beginning of Round 3). *In the next space, complete 1 [DC, Chain 1]. In the following space complete 1 [DC, Chain 1]. Then, in the next pace complete 2 [DC, Chain 1]. Repeat from * until you reach the space marked with the stitch marker. Note: If you are making this piece for a toddler/child. I recommend skipping Round 3 and completing less Rows total. Rounds 4-8: Complete 1 [DC, Chain 1] in the space marked at the beginning of the previous round. Then complete 1 [DC, Chain 1] in the next space. Mark the space in between the 2 DC's you just created with a stitch marker (This marks the beginning of your current round). Complete 1 [DC, Chain 1] in each space around until you reach the space marked with the stitch marker. Round 9: Slip Stitch LOOSELY in every space around. Chain 1, pull through a loop, cut, and fasten. Tuck in all loose ends
