I highly recommend getting a small car if you do decide to drive, the roads are very narrow. Renting a scooter is also a great alternative. - Public transportation is another option to get around. Busses are available and I also recommend using ferries to get around to towns such as Positano and Amalfi. There is no traffic and the views are incredible from the ferry. - Since the Amalfi Coast is so beautiful, it will be packed with tourists during the summer months. So I recommend visiting during the off season in months such as May or September.
