Description: The Russell Westbrook hypocrisy has to stop. #Westbrook #NBA Twitter- @MJ2KALLDAY Gaming/Streaming- @MJPLAYSALLDAY Nah, you didn’t just ban LOW for roasting Russ after he went 1-10 from the field, got benched in OT, the Lakers got better without him, and he shot this.** **If your home crowd is telling you not to shoot and they got a Kobe statue outside the arena, you messed up.** **Russell Westbrook has regressed this year. There’s no if, buts, about it. He cannot finish, he cannot shoot. His midrange is gone. Look at how much he is hesitating for this shot inside the free throw line (Westbrook turnover vs Knicks).** **It’s time to face reality. This is the first time I’m saying it. Russell Westbrook needs to get traded.** If Russ suddenly has a good game tomorrow, that’s great but that doesn’t overwrite the 50 games we have seen. I made this video like 2 weeks ago breaking down how Russ is legitimately one of, if not the worst finishers in the NBA right now. In the Russ safe space on Twitter, I heard quote “Russ needs to cut more and LeBron needs to pass to him, and because Russ is athletic and a great playmaker, he can make a play, either finish or make a great pass” and **I might have agreed with you 50 games ago, but no, not this season.** Put Russ in the corner and his defender can help off every time. It’s happened multiple times and it hurts LeBron, hurts AD. It’s hard to get it to them in the post (Knicks Fournier steal). Give Westbrook the ball and he’s either struggling or raising the floor of the team. **What was repeated over and over again was that “Russ is a rhythm player”.** The Lakers have had injuries and give Russ props for being one of the most available players, Sure, Russ can get hot, but he also can take his own team out of the game despite having all the touches. You realize, he’s still top 20 in the league in touches per game? Forget all the times in the past in the playoffs where Russ has shot his team out of the game and series, we don’t need to look any further than this season. **You know how players have clutch defining moment where they take over or they make the game winning shot, Russ has had the opposite.** He’s 5th in turnovers per game. **Again that’s a real problem that has to be addressed. And he’s not doing enough other things to offset that.** **If he was playing defense, I would also give him the benefit of the doubt, but no**, his defense has also been horrible. He leaves players open in the clutch, leaves players open period. There’s not much awareness or energy on that end either to justify the offensive shortcomings. **Let’s start with not hurting the team. If you’re** constantly not gonna help with spacing, if you can’t finish, if you turn the ball over a lot, if you can’t play defense, that’s hurting the team. I’m not expecting star level play, but how about just a normal starter level? If we take a look at all the Lakers ratings offensively and defensively with the Raptor, the non-greyed out players are the Lakers, up and to the right is good. Here’s LeBron, here’s AD, and here’s Russ, the furthest down, and to the left, in the bad area. If we take a look at wins above replacement, Russ is a negative and has the lowest out of the entire team. **This means, he is worse a replacement level player at his same position and there’s no one worse than him on the Lakers too.** The trade deadline is coming up, decisions need to be made whether or not all this is worth it for the Lakers, especially if benching Westbrook actually makes the Lakers better. Because if that’s the case, you might as well get something for him, an extra shooter, a perimeter defender, something. We have 50 games of sample size, we have over 40 games of LeBron and Russ together. That being said, I want them to figure the chemistry out but I just don’t see the fit, not with Russ missing layups and becoming even worse at shooting. And in the playoffs, every game matters, you can’t have 2 good games, 2 really bad games that cost the team and be like that’s just Russ. **If that’s just Russ, then that’s just a liability.**
