Description: A massive UK study has thrown up an unlikely saviour in the form of dexamethasone, a 60 year-old, cheap steroid. The RECOVERY trial has recruited almost 12,000 patients to test drugs against coronavirus like hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin, favourites of Donald Trump and Elon Musk. But despite celebrity support and armies of online fans, evidence has not supported their use. The results supporting the use of dexamethasone - and it's quite impressive effect - have not been formally published yet. This is a preliminary report.
