On Easter Monday afternoon of April 18th, 2021, Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) reported that they had observed a number of offences being committed during an event in Derry/Londonderry in Northern Ireland, UK. Subsequently officers moved in to make arrests before they were then attacked by petrol bombs and missiles. So far 7 people have been arrested under the Terrorism Act and 1 other was arrested for disorderly behaviour bringing the total arrested to 8. Police also seized suspected terrorist uniforms, petrol bombs and vehicles gathered as evidence in their investigation. The threat of being bombed or shot is greater than in other areas of the UK For these reasons all police officers in Northern Ireland are armed and carry firearms. Specialist units such as the Tactical Support Group (TSG) assist regular officers by providing manpower, riot control and counter-terrorism. Historically police were assisted by the British Army in conflict during The Troubles war of the latter 20th century. Thankfully Northern Ireland is much safer following the Good Friday Agreement 1998 - but trouble still remains as groups remain divided. You'll notice some Land Rovers returning with burn scars after being bombed. --------------------------------------------------- Thank you for watching! - CobraEmergency, filming military and emergency vehicles since 2013! --------------------------------------------------- CobraEmergencyVideos | More: youtube.com/channel/UCk1RYrSgvgtx1_WKKyM-HPg CobraEmergency | North America: youtube.com/c/CobraEmergencyNorthAmerica --------------------------------------------------- CobraEmergency - Store (Shop online): cobraemergencystore.com Patroen (Support us online by donating): patreon.com/cobraemergency --------------------------------------------------- TikTok: tiktok.com/@cobraemergencyvideos Facebook: facebook.com/CobraEmergency Twitter: twitter.com/CobraEmergency Instagram: instagram.com/cobraemergency --------------------------------------------------- - Clips recorded using Sony AX700 - Videos edited & compiled using Cyberlink PowerDirector - Thumbnails edited using Canva: canva.com - Outroduction Music: Watch it Glow - Silent Partner youtu.be/fQ8MwJ8Ptw8 --------------------------------------------------- Ⓒ CobraEmergency Ltd --------------------------------------------------- Recorded: April 18, 2022
