It has been proven that people who read regularly tend to have a bigger vocabulary than people who don't read as much. It's also been proven that reading fiction builds your vocabulary even more than non-fiction. However, if you are struggling to express your ideas in everyday conversations, I recommend that you first start by reading lots of non-fiction and sharing what you read with others. This will help you will pick up hundreds of new words and get comfortable expressing your ideas. If you are busy like me and don't have much time for reading, I recommend using the Blinkist app. With Blinkist, you can read or listen to excellent summaries of the world's TOP non-fiction books.
