Description: The Knit Picks Staff would like to wish you all a Happy World Wide Knit in Public Day! Like much of the world, the Knit Picks team spent the past year working remotely. So it was great fun to host our own KIP (knit in public) at Knit Picks HQ and reconnect as colleagues with projects! We enjoyed the opportunity to gather safely and celebrate World Wide Knit In Public Day #wwkipday2021. We hope you get the chance to join other knitters today and beyond with the mission of "Better Living through Stitching Together!" World Wide Knit in Public Day was started in 2005 by Danielle Landes and takes place on the second Saturday of June each year. It began as a way for knitters to come together and enjoy each other's company. Knit in Public Day is the largest knitter run event in the world. Each local event is put together by a volunteer or a group of volunteers. They bring their own fresh ideas into planning where the event should be held, and what people would like to do.
