Description: Download the Free Amazing Grace Fingerpicking For Beginners Study Guide Here:tinyurl.com/ycn6llaa Amazing Grace First Video Here: youtube.com/watch?v=pWcKF8SG6GE Amazing Grace Quick Start Video Here: youtube.com/watch?v=mCg6s_xVHL4 Amazing Grace, fingerpicking for beginners "Play Along" is a part of a complete beginner series where we learn a very simple right hand pattern and 3 Guitar Chords (G, C, and D) all while learning the classic Worship Hymn Amazing Grace. First thing you will want to do is Download the Free Amazing Grace Study Guide which contains the tab, sheet music and detailed measure by measure instruction that a rank beginner can handle. The course is free and as Bob Harris says- there is "no reason" not to get the free Study Guide. The pattern we are learning here first is a Simple Waltz pattern that remains the same for the entire song. Only thing that changes is the different strings we pluck for each chord. At this point, you should already be familiar with the pattern and chords in order to Play Along with this video. Slow speeds are much more difficult than the medium tempos and is actually extremely beneficial. The reason is, your brain is able to absorb the slower tempos thus making it possible for muscle memory to kick in. Although it's important to build speed with the picking pattern, accuracy should be all guitarists first concern. Bob Harris recommends to always practice slow and then slowly raise the tempo of the metronome gradually. Work on this technique of starting slow daily to get the most out of your practice sessions. This play along video 1 of Amazing Grace is featuring the one fingered G Chord along with the standard C and D chords. Changing chords smoothly requires a good "pre plan" with fingers to use. If these exact notes are too difficult, Bob recommend using a slight melodic variation, as the course also gives the beginner guitar student a few different picking options and various chord forms. Student is encouraged to pick his/her own method for ease of playing personally for them. Finally, many students are going to want to sing Amazing Grace and the last part of the course features tips on how to sing the song and how to find the key with the use of the capo. A new follow up course will be avail soon showing some other keys to play Amazing Grace in using the standard chords.
