Description: In Hinduism we come across a common method of worship called puja or pooja. This Ganesh Chaturthi you can perform Puja for all 10 days sitting in your own house though my show PUJA PADDHATI   Where I will take you to Various temples and perform Puja's. U can also see these videos and perform pujas at home with these sacred chants by pundits from Sidhivinayak temple.  11 Avartan Shodshopachara Pooja is performed every day at 8.00 am at Sri Siddhivinayak Temple, Mumbai. This puja takes around 50-60 minutes. After the puja, devotees are given Prasad which includes 6 Ladoos, 1 Coconut, 1 Banana and Vibhuti packet. 11 Avartan Shodshopchar Pooja is performed under the explicit instructions and directions of competent priests of Siddhivinayak Temple trust, Mumbai. 11 Avartan Shodshopchar Pooja includes 16 Upacharas in it. When Lord Krishna was asked what Puja should be done, he said Shodashopachara Puja is sufficient. The 16 Upacharas are of Ganapati Puja are: • Upachara | Description • Avahana | Invitation to descend • Asana | Offer a place to sit • Padaprakshalana | Washing of feet • Hastaprakshalana | Washing of hands • Achamanam | Offering water to drink • Snanam | Bathing • Vastram | Offering clothes to wear • Yagyopaveetam | Offering the Sacred Thread • Gandham | Offering sandalwood powder • Pushpam | Offering flowers. Ganapati likes Garika (a species of grass) more than a flower. • Dhupam | Offering incense • Deepam | Lighting a lamp • Naivedyam | Offering food to eat • Tambulam | Offering betel leaves and areca nuts • Neerajanam | Offering lighted camphor • Mantrapushpam | Offering of a flower after chanting a mantra
