Description: General Manoj Pande Assumes Charge of Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) of the Indian Army. He has become the first Engineer to assume the charge as Indian Army Chief. He was presented Guard of Honour at South Block (MoD) lawns after taking over from General MM Naravane. In his first media interaction he assured the nation of security and protecting the national boundaries and service and ex-servicemen for their welfare. Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari & Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral R. Hari Kumar were also present during Guard of honour presented to CoAS General Manoj Pande as a mark to tri-service jointmanship.
