Description: Once you have good control over scales and arpeggios, the next tool you need to have in order to sound jazzy are enclosures. 30 Day Jazz-Blues Piano Challenge Book: bit.ly/jazzbluesbook Day 9 - Enclosures & Target Notes 0:00 - Level 1 0:52 - Level 2 2:07 - Level 3 2:24 - Level 3 - Pro ššØš¦š©š„ššš šš¢šš§šØ šš¦š©š«šØšÆš¢š¬ššš¢šØš§ ššØš®š«š¬š ššØš« ššš š¢š§š§šš«š¬, šš§ššš«š¦ššš¢ššš šš§š šššÆšš§ššš š¬šš®ššš§šš¬: soundofemotions.com My Sheet Music store bit.ly/sheetmusic-shop My Music: fanlink.to/soundofemotions skaar.bandcamp.com/music Instagram: instagram.com/davidmagyel ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lesson Notes: Level 1, 2 & 3 Enclosure = Delayed resolution Delayed resolution is a technique of playing diatonic and chromatic neighbor tones before resolving to a chord tone (target note). There are many ways to combine diatonic and chromatic approach notes before resolving them to a target note, but not all of them sound equally good. So today I want to show you only one variation - the one I think sounds the best. Level 1 - If you manage to apply delayed resolution to the Root and 5th of the C7, F7, and G7 chords, you have completed today's challenge. Level 2 - Learn both Level 1 & 2 Etudes, and you are good to go. Level 3 - Go through all 3 Levels. If you manage to keep the beat while combining C7, F7, and G7 Bebop Scales with enclosures, you have completed today's challenge. Level 3 (Pro) - Be sure that you understand the concept and play the exercises without the sheet music.
