Description: This is video footage of a daily training session with my 9 week old puppy. In the session I worked on teaching the puppy the first lesson of staying on a bed with distractions, offering the behavior of going to the bed, luring the puppy as a behavior using leg weaving and going in a circle, conditioning the puppy to the sound of the dremmel, and a little bit of handling. If I wasn't filming this or if the puppy lost interest in the food I would have broken this up into 2 or 3 separate training sessions spread throughout the day, working on the calm behaviors together and the more excitable ones in a different session. This is all the training we will do for today besides when I take my older Border Collie to the vet this evening and I will give him treats for being calm in his crate which will end up being part of his kibble for his dinner because we went through quite a lot of his daily ration with this training session as I had to reinforce him for doing nothing while I talked to you guys. The next training sessions I will not talk over, and just concentrate on training my puppy in short sessions as I did these two long sessions 2 days in a row. I might also only focus on 1 behavior in 1 short lesson instead of switching it up.
