Description: ↠ IG: @freyahaley All the reasons why van life sucked :// I have disabled comments on all my van life videos as the algorithm brings in a lot of trolls which tbh I don't have the energy to deal with. Wanted to jump on here and pin something I don't think I mentioned in this video. I feel extreeeeemely privileged to live in a society where I am safe to live in a van. A society where food is readily available at the nearest town and that I can use public ammenities. I know I'm not entitled to the luxuries of a home lifestyle and that's where living in the van was such a gift. It was such a gift to be able to live close to nature and to have the freedom to travel wherever I wanted; however, it ended up being so that I was often just dwelling in towns. I realised it wasn't for me, that's why I quit. I hope this video doesn't sound too "complainy" bc for real there were some beautiful things about the lifestyle. And a lot of the "nitpicky" stuff (like the fleas lol) happened and although I did love having a bit of a whinge I did live this life for a while and did approach it without being a princess. There's some beautiful things about the lifestyle and I wanted to create this video so others who are hoping to try it out can be aware in full transparency that it isn't all sunshine and rainbows (because it never is!). I did love it, it just rubbed me the wrong way for too long.
