Gas prices are insane these days because of a few things but mostly it is because of the war between Ukraine and Russia. Different bans and embargos have put the US and the rest of the world in a bad spot. When it comes to gas prices all states are not created equal. There is almost a 3 dollar per gallon difference between the highest and lowest. One of the main factors for this difference is taxes and fees. The federal government adds.18$ to every gallon.
