Description: Does body language and the evidence prove the Houston Astros are lying about not cheating in 2018 and 2019? Find out next. The Houston Astros, Major League Baseball (MLB) team, cheated in the 2017 season by using a camera in the outfield zoomed in on the catcher to steal signs. They would watch that live feed in the dugout tunnel and decode the signs the catcher put down for the pitcher and then alert their team’s batter and base runners of what pitch is coming, which of course is a massive advantage. But how did they alert the batter and base runners? They would do a series of loud bangs on a trashcan in their dugout tunnel. Now keep in mind, this has been going on throughout the game, and naturally the pitcher is going to pick up the pattern. Kind of like, “why is it every time I’m about to throw something other than a fastball, I hear loud bangs coming from the Houston Astros dugout.” So Farquhar, the pitcher here, calls the catcher over and notice as he’s walking to meet the catcher, he’s looking into Houston Astros dugout like, “Those dirty rats are stealing our signs.” Farquhar says to his catcher something along the lines of, “I think they’re stealing our signs.” So they switch up their signs up and the next pitch when the batter doesn’t have the correct knowledge of what pitch is coming, he strikes out. In November 2019, Major League Baseball finally started investigating the Astros for cheating and in January 2020 found that they in fact cheated in 2017, the year they won the World Series, and found some cheating in 2018, but no cheating in 2019. Even though in 2019, they made it to the World Series. But did the Astros really stop most of their cheating in 2017? We’re going to break down body language and piece together the evidence to finally reveal the truth. So what penalties did the Astros receive for their massive cheating conspiracy. The Astros GM and Manager got suspended for 1 year, the team was fined just $5 million, and they lost some draft picks. Nothing happened to any of the players who cheated, and the Astros got to keep their 2017 World Series title. I think what bothers many people in this is that all of this just feels so unfair to the players and fans and it doesn’t make sense that they would abruptly stop cheating after it was so successful for them in 2017. Give this video a thumbs up if you think they continued cheating beyond 2017 Give this video a thumbs down if you think they magically stopped doing that cheating in 2017 In the comments, What do you think should happen to the Astros and those players for cheating?
