Description: 600 rapper Edai, real name Cordai Ealy, was fatally shot in the early hours of Sunday August 1st. He was 32 years old. The Twitter account for ‘Spot News’ (@SpotNewsOnIG) confirmed a man, later confirmed to be Edai via an audio clip spelling out his full legal name, was shot at least twice in the back at around 12:30am in early morning of August 1st. *EDIT* They later updated the thread saying he was shot 6 times in the chest and stomach: twitter.com/SPOTNEWSonIG/status/1421869862134206467 An emergency call revealed the location of the incident at the intersection of 72nd Street and South Bennett Avenue in Chicago. Edai was rushed from the scene to University of Chicago Medicine centre, but his injuries were too serious for him to pull through. His friends, including fellow rappers 600Breezy and Young Famous, have begun to react to the news on their social media pages. Edai was a known figure in the Chicago Drill music scene since the very beginning, & now will be remembered alongside L’A Capone and other fallen Chicago rappers.
