Description: Luthiers Dan Erlewine and special guest Carl Ho demonstrate how to plug a tuner hole. They have a vintage 1925 Gibson A-Style Jr Mandolin in the shop, and the tuners just won't turn. They’re replacing the tuners and have to fill in some of the old screw holes. Carl is the owner of ACOUSICK ROOM guitar lutherie and repair shop in Hong Kong, and he shows us the most effective way to plug screw holes when installing new tuners. Carl only uses hand tools for this special technique and it works beautifully.
