Let's start with Chris for whom being obese was the only thing he new all his life. His weight reached 550lbs at its maximum. It took him a lot to decide to change. He decided to join a support group for food addicts short after his mom had died, his girlfriend had broken up with him and he'd had lost his job! He lost over 320lbs and started caring about his physical appearance. Although he will soon go through surgery to remove the excess skin, he reports that he feels more comfortable with his loose chest skin than with his previous man boobs. Next, we meet Heath who also has been morbidly obese all his life. At his heaviest, he reached the extraordinary weight 480lbs. Heath says that he woke up one morning and decided to change his life and started his weight loss journey. After some ups and downs, he was able to lose 230lbs. As expected, he was left with a lot of loose skin. Surprisingly, Heath says that he will never consider surgery and that a bit of loose skin is way better than all the extra weight that he used to carry around. Darnell, on the other hand, started gaining extra weight after his father passed away in a car accident. He developed a food addiction and gradually put on a staggering 560lbs! Darnell reports that the moment that changed him and made him decide to lose weight was when he saw the person he loved, his girlfriend, suffer because she worried about his health. He has lost 260lbs so far and keeps working hard on losing more. He reports that his loose skin does not bother him or make him feel uncomfortable and that he prefers his body with the excess skin than with all the unhealthy weight.
