Raised by a single mother, Tion's musical ear developed by belting out notes to unexpected influences like Ray Charles, The Righteous Brothers, and country icons like Garth Brooks. Tion's addiction for singing started when he sang along to the classic pop tune "Rockin' Robin" by the Jackson 5. "That's when I first got a voice," remembers Tion. "My mom said, 'Is that you singing or is that Michael?' I said, 'That's me singing!' From there, I wanted to be a singer." Tion was only nine years old at the time. While Tion is inspired by old school legends, don't let his musical maturity deceive you. He's young at heart, obsessed with skateboarding and hanging out with friends while jamming out to R&B favorites like Omarion and newer artists like Drake. Tion is not your average teen dream. A natural talent, and unlike many stars of today, he wasn't plucked from a reality show. Similar to Justin Timberlake and Usher, this Southern boy has been paying his dues on stage for years. He is a down-home, country kid with aspirations that are morphing into reality. "Anytime I pray, my ultimate goal is to be a legend among the legends. I want to make a great show," says Tion.
