Description: The T5 transmission is a popular choice among many hot rod builders as a significant upgrade over old original 3 speed transmissions. Typically, upgrading to the newer transmission means also converting the rear end to an open driveshaft since most old hot rods had closed driveshafts, but there's a way to receive the benefits of a newer transmission while still keeping the original closed driveshaft. In this video I show how I designed and built an adapter assembly to attach an early Ford closed driveshaft to a Chevy T5 4x4 transmission.
