Description: The Vacheron Constantin Overseas is the best high luxury sports watch. Among steel integrated bracelet sports watches, Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet might boast the most established name, but Vacheron is the watchmaker with the best product. At 41mm in stainless steel, the Overseas automatic 4500V/110A-B128 is a universally appealing wristwatch for men who value features and refinement over hype. Vacheron Constantin launched its third generation Oveseas sports watch in 2016. Major upgrades over previous editions included display casebacks, manufacture movements, Geneva Hallmark signatures, and quick-release lugs. The Overseas 4500V ships from the factory with two accessory straps; one is blue leather, and one is blue rubber. Along with the factory bracelet, these bands can be changed without tools using the clip-on lug fixture. Each link of the bracelet can be removed for precise sizing, and Vacheron includes half-links for greater sizing flexibility. Each side of the deployant clasp includes a 1.5mm micro-adjuster. Links on the bracelet are finished by hand to achieve a standard that is competitive with Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, A. Lange and Sohne, and luxury independent watchmakers such as Czapek and Moser. This example of the Vacheron Overseas automatic includes a metallic blue dial. Not only is this dial variant the most popular, but it features the robust luminescence that is common to all standard Overseas watches. A “Maltese Cross” bezel surrounds the dial, and it shares the broader attention to detail that is lavished on every aspect of this case; metal finishing is superb, and the case itself bears the Poincon de Geneve. Vacheron Constantin caliber 5100 powers the Overseas Self Winding. Unlike the previous two generations of the watch, which used Jaeger LeCoultre and Girard Perregaux movements, this current model Overseas uses a manufacture movement with a diameter of 30.6mm. This allows the movement to fill the watch’s sapphire display caseback two mainspring barrels provide 60 hours of power reserve, and the watch is adjusted in five positions for optimal timekeeping. This movement bears the Geneva seal attesting to its standard of precision and fine finish. A screw-down crown and secure caseback ensure 150 meters of water resistance.
