Description: This video was sponsored by xTool (Makeblock). They sent me the xTool D1 engraver and laser cutter to review. I wasn't compensated for the review; just received the tool to review and keep at no charge. And wow!....I have to say that I was super impressed with this machine! Check out the xTool D1 using my affiliate link here: thriftdiving.com/xtool 0:00 - Intro 1:07 - Setting up the engraver 3:42 - Testing the engraver for the first time on WOOD 5:09 - Engraving a sign 6:10 - Engraving on a picture frame 6:26 - Engraving a stainless steel dog tag 6:58 - Engraving on leather & faux leather 7:28 - Engraving on stainless steel insulated cups using the xTool rotary engraving 8:51 - Outro // First of all, I have never used a laser engraver and cutter before. I've only engraved with a hand-held engraver, and the results weren't very good. This model, however, created professional results! It can be used to engrave wood, metal, acrylic, leather, and more. Products you can engrave include: plywood, hardwoods, dog tags, metal business cards, cardboard, stainless steel cups and jewelry, coasters, stone, glass, and more! //WHAT I LOVED// -Set-up didn't take much time. -Easy software to download and didn't require me to spend hours learning how to use it. -Doesn't take up too much space. -Flexible and can be used to cut many kinds of materials and various sizes. //WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFOREHAND// -You'll need to be able to either work in a well ventilated space, or you'll need to invest in an exhaust fan, which can be purchased separately (store.xtool.com/products/exhuast-fan?ref=4GsBeC3G6WA8JS). -You may need to invest some money into "blanks" of stainless steal, leather, and other materials if you don't already have those available. -You'll need to buy the accessory for engraving on cylinders such as metal cups, glass, etc. -You'll need at least 3-4 sets of risers (feet) so that the D1 engraver is tall enough larger/taller objects. ********* Check out my Project Gallery: thriftdiving.com/projects?utm_campaign=Social-Media&utm_medium=Description&utm_source=YouTube Subscribe to my mailing list for 5 additional freebies: thriftdiving.com/subscribe?utm_campaign=Social-Media&utm_medium=Description&utm_source=YouTube *************** BLOG: thriftdiving.com EMAIL: serena@thriftdiving.com FACEBOOK: facebook.com/thriftdiving PINTEREST: pinterest.com/thriftdiving INSTAGRAM: instagram.com/thriftdiving TWITTER: twitter.com/thriftdiving SNAPCHAT: snapchat.com/add/thriftdiving TIK TOK: @thriftdiving THRIFT DIVING TEE-SHIRTS: thriftdiving.com/shop *************** MAILING ADDRESS: Serena Appiah P.O.
