Description: It’s OK to not bounce back after pregnancy, Mama! Social media makes it seem like every woman simply pops out her baby, and then immediately has a flat stomach again. Well… as you’ll see in this video, that’s not usually the case. A small portion of this video is sponsored by my fave jewellery brand; Ana Luisa! Ana Luisa is currently running an EXCLUSIVE Black Friday sale, get their limited offers here: analuisa.com/stephanielangebf - I know you will love them too! #analuisany Learning to love your postpartum body can be a journey. My emergency c-section scar still sometimes feels itchy, and sometimes when I catch sight of it in the mirror I still find myself taken aback. My belly now jiggles when I walk, and as I’m breastfeeding my son, my boobs are a LOT bigger than they used to be! This is certainly not the body i’ve known for most of my adult life. But you know what? I’m ok with that! My body literally GREW A HUMAN! And then it birthed that human! And now it feeds that human! Like, what?! Our bodies are MAGICAL! How can we realistically expect our bodies to create, grow and birth another person - and then once we’ve accomplished that, expect our bodies to look like it never happened?! That’s pretty unfair when you think about it. Your body may ‘pop’ back to the shape it was pre-pregnancy - and it may not. And that’s perfectly ok! Postpartum bodies are beautiful. They may take some getting used to, but with patience and gratitude you can learn to love your post baby body. Your belly may be bigger than it was pre-pregnancy, and like me, it may jiggle when you walk. And you might be finding it difficult to love your new body, and that’s ok too. Like pregnancy, navigating your postpartum body can be a journey. I believe it’s all in the way we choose to think. We could choose to believe magazines and media who celebrate the celebrities that just ‘popped back into shape’ straight after birth, leading us into putting unfair pressure on ourselves if our own bellies have the nerve to actually look like they had a baby, instead of immediately being taut and flat like they never went through pregnancy and birth at all. OR, we could choose to give our bodies patience, time and love as it goes through the process of healing. Your body may never look the way it did pre-pregnancy… but I mean really, why should it? Because the media tells us so? Mamas you have achieved SO much with this body of yours, let’s give it the praise and love it deserves, in whatever way it currently looks. During this time of loving your new baby, don't forget to love yourself as well. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ❤ I N S T A G R A M @_stephanielange_ ❤ F A C E B O O K @stephanielange ❤ E M A I L (business only contact)info@stephlange.com
