We now know more about ancient Egyptian health, diet, lifestyle and death than ever before. But this new approach to the study of Egyptian mummies is also teaching us a lot about the history of disease, revealing that many 'modern' diseases have been with us for far longer that we originally thought. Join British Museum curators Daniel Antoine and Marie Vandenbeusch as they introduce you to a 4-year-old boy from the Roman period in Egypt and share what he, and other mummies, can tell us about life from 2000-years-ago, right up until today.
